Boa maré is a captivating restaurant nestled along one of Maputo's main avenues. This charming spot offers a retreat for those seeking a delightful meal or a cozy coffee break. Customers rave about the fresh, locally sourced fish expertly poached and paired with vibrant vegetables, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality. Lars Lemos describes it as a "calm and comfortable" environment, perfect for anything from a casual drink to a hearty lunch.
The ambiance is intimate yet inviting, a combination that Anand Nirmal appreciates for its fine dining experience wrapped in a boutique feel. Regulars like Carlos Manuel value the friendly staff, noting that the portions are generous despite a slight uptick in prices over the years. Miguel Franco highlights the blend of traditional Portuguese cuisine, ensuring there's something for everyone – from simple to sophisticated dishes.
Boa maré isn't just about food; it's a community hub where patrons can enjoy matches displayed on-screen while savoring a good draught beer. The desserts earn their fair share of praise too, rounding out a menu that offers both variety and fair prices. Although parking can occasionally pose a challenge, the rewards of a meal at Boa maré are well worth the effort.

We had fish, which was fresh, gently poached and a large helping, with fresh vegetables. Good draught beer. Service excellent. a clean, tidy and recommended cafe/restaurant.

I've been a regular for a couple of years now and have only great things to say about the place. Friendly staff and owners, great food, sizable portions, I must say it's become a bit more expensive than it used to be, but I still love it!

A nice small bar/restaurant in one of the busiest streets of Maputo. You can have mostly traditional Portuguese cuisine, both simple and more elaborate dishes, or you can simply go for drinks or coffee. The staff is good and helpful and service is fast. The space is not very big, but you avoid the busy hours you won't feel it's too crowded. The desserts are also good in general and the overall prices are fair and similar too other restaurants in the area. Parking can be a problem, depending on the hour, but you will usually find a spot not too far. Football matches are usually displayed here, so take that into account.

Good atmosphere, and great food. A little on the pricy side, but I suggest you try it.
